The Innovation
Marathon was a first at
the Innovation Congress
2012:
11 Teams (consisting of 5 Students each) developed (in 24 hours) solutions for specific business challenges.
The Jury Members (consisting of University of Applied Sciences Professor
Dr Erich Hartlieb, University Professor Dr Erich Schwarz and Dr Stefan Pirker of Treibacher Industries) were impressed by the creativity and the professionalism
of the young people.
Finally, the Team Flowserve was chosen as the winner.
Mr Christian Begle, Mr Daniel Leustik, Ms Lorena Meierhofer, Ms Sabine Bauinger und Mr Martin Schwab received the main award
of 3000 Euros (made available by the Federal Ministry of Trade and Industry) for a valve quick-change system (for solar power stations).
The Team Philips
Epilation received the runner-up award of 2000 Euros, and the Team Europlast received the bronze award of 1000 Euros.
The Innovation Congress Team would like to express their gratitude to the Industrialists
Association Carinthia (regarding the great Innovation Marathon cooperation),
