Blacksocks.com was founded in 1999, in order to free men from socks
worries, and they invented the socks subscription
plan, and launched it successfully.
But, one problem of men could not be solved until
September 2012:

socks form a pair? That
is why, blacksocks.com launched
Smarter Socks, probably the smartest socks in the world,
because every
sock is equipped with an RFID
Chip, that communicates
via an in-house developed reader
with an iPhone. That way, one
knows which socks form
a pair (eliminating any mismatching problems).
Biography:
Mr Samy Liechti was born in 1969 in the Swiss
bilingual town of Biel,
where
he attended Grammar School.
He then studied
Business Administration in St. Gallen, Paris and
Toronto, and received his Master’s Degree from The
University of St. Gallen in 1993. After graduating, he was working as a
Marketing and
Communications Consultant for well-known brands in
Switzerland and in England. In 1999, he founded the firm
blacksocks.com, based on his
idea of a socks subscription plan.
Blacksocks.com is a Swiss Internet Pioneer. They have 60'000 customers and ship to
75 countries.
Mr Liechti is married and the father
of a 9-month old daughter. He lives in
Zurich.
